    Mumbai: NRI doctor hits wife, told to pay Rs 5L

    Reprimanding a 38-year-old Germany-based Indian doctor for physically assaulting his 37-year-old wife, also a doctor, despite being “highly educated and practising a noble profession”, a magistrate court has ordered him to pay a total monthly maintenance of Rs 60,000 to her and their five-year-old child.
